Independent Study and Mentorship, or ISM is a class that offers the opportunity to gain real world experience at a young age. During ISM you will conduct interviews with professionals in the field of your choice to become your mentor. Through your mentor you will be able to gain real insight into the profession that you want. That may include one on one conversations, working alongside your mentor, or watching your mentor. Along with mentor visits you will also have to complete a weekly blog and research projects throughout the year. At the end of the school year there is a research showcase and a final presentation where you will display all your research and get to explain your time during ISM to everyone. ISM is best way to get a head start in finding the right career path for you.
